Breathing and breath support are 2 of the most important things to be aware about, I believe, when working to develop better speech and singing habits. With your vocal coach there are various breathing exercices to help develop what we call « breathing from your diaphragm ». It’s important to then develop more body awareness as to what muscles we need to use in order to support the breath/voice without unnecessary tension in our bodies. To me, it’s also about finding the right amount of energy to deliver our messages, and engaging in what we are saying with the right intention.
